Fishing : A living tradition

Although Roscoff is now known for its scientific and tourist activities, fishing remains a cornerstone of its identity. The fishing port, sheltered by the jetty, sees boats come and go daily, bringing in exceptional catches : monkfish, sea bass, skate and especially the famous crustaceans like the blue lobster or or brown crabs and spider crabs.
Our fishermen are the most dynamic in the department, supplying La Criée de Roscoff and the best restaurants in the region.

Brittany Ferries : The bridge to Ireland and England

It was in 1972 that Roscoff took on a new international dimension with the creation of Brittany Ferries/ Originally, it was an initiative by Breton farmers to export their vegetables to the British market.

The Touristic Aspect : Thalasso and Heritage

Today, Roscoff is a popular seaside resort, known for its clean air and iodized water. It was here that the first center of thalassotherapy opened in 1899. Visitors come for :
